This is an exciting time to join the industry, offering the opportunity to work with advanced electronic components used in aircraft, helicopters, and missile systems.Job DescriptionHelps develop quality control policies and assesses production constraints.Works closely with engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards are met.Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and verifying the precision and accuracy of products and equipment.Supports first article inspections and approves materials and final assemblies by verifying specifications, conducting visual and dimensional tests, and rejecting non-conforming materials.Develops, maintains, and runs CMM programs; performs inspections at various production stages.Inspects parts and audits products according to quality and process standards using visual, layout, dimensional, or non-destructive testing methods.May perform root cause analysis for issues requiring corrective actions.Reads and interprets blueprints and customer specifications to determine inspection criteria.Records observations and prepares inspection and testing reports.Ensures corrective actions and deviations comply with reliability standards and documentation requirements.May specialize in design, incoming materials, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control, or R&D as they relate to product or process quality.May hold certifications in Lean and Six Sigma and apply quality tools to drive continuous improvement.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of government and industry quality assurance standards.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
