The Quality Engineer will be an integral part of the quality team, supporting the maintenance of product and process compliance with the client's Quality Management System (QMS). This role involves collaborating closely with key customers to identify the root causes of non-conformances and working internally to create systems that drive improvements in quality at the source.

Job Description

  • Involved in developing quality control policies and evaluates production limitations
  • Ability to work cross functionally to resolve quality issues
  • Work directly with OEM manufacturers to discuss product quality
  • Maintain and continuously the develop the companies QMS
  • Assist with creating and maintaining quality documentation
  • Support first article inspection, approve materials, final product assemblies by confirming specifications, conduct visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Ability to troubleshoot CMM programming
  • Understanding of root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action
  • Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications to establish correct inspection criteria
  • Working knowledge of NADCAP regulations

The Successful Applicant

  • 2+ years experience in quality within manufacturing
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledgeable of Gage R&R and other calibration methods
  • Understanding of AS9100
  • Able to read and interpret customer GD&T blueprints
  • Experience within aerospace preferred
