Job Description

  • Maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) that aligns with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Lead and manage the quality assurance team, ensuring the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Monitor all stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues or non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Establish and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports, audits, and test results.
  • Develop and conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Work closely with suppliers and customers to resolve any quality concerns and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Track and report key quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of the quality process.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management or quality assurance in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and industry certifications such as AS9100, IATF 16949, etc.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team of quality professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Proficiency with quality tools such as Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, and CAPA.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Experience with inspection equipment and techniques (CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CNC machining, aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
