Job Description

The Quality Manager, Manufacturing, will:

  • Manages ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 Quality Systems, serving as the ISO Management Representative
  • Leads and oversees product safety certifications (e.g., explosion-proof, flame-proof) for multiple global regions (ATEX, IECEx, NEPSI, KTL)
  • Drives compliance with regulations for hazardous substances (ROHS, REACH, SCIP, CA Prop 65) and champions leadership awareness on compliance matters
  • Proficient in technical drawing interpretation; experience with 2D/3D CAD and PCB layouts is a plus
  • Owns the Quality Management System, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leads a team of 3-5, including union quality inspectors and junior Quality Engineers
  • Maintains regulatory document lists and develops approval templates that integrate with business processes
  • Manages all audits (internal, third-party, customer) and directs Engineering Change Orders to closure
  • Oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of 2-4 employees; manages training records platform
  • Up to 10% travel required for audits, certifications, or quality system management
  • Onsite at Bellingham, MA

The Successful Applicant

The Quality Manager will have the following experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Business Management, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5-7 years of Quality Management experience in manufacturing or capital equipment, with a customer-focused approach to resolving quality concerns; electromechanical assembly background is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Proficient quantitative, organizational, and analytical skills with exceptional record-keeping abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and manufacturing software
  • Experienced in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, with a proven ability to influence peers and communicate updates to leadership
  • Local to Bellingham, MA
