Job Description

The Quality Manager (plastics / thermoforming) will:

  • Be responsible for daily floor management, creating training programs and implementing floor level processes
  • Inspect products on the line to ensure compliance with quality standards at every stage of production.
  • Conduct real-time troubleshooting on the floor to resolve quality issues as they arise.
  • Retrain Utility Technicians and production staff directly on the floor to reinforce quality processes and procedures.
  • Monitor daily production runs to identify areas for immediate improvement and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate closely with line operators and supervisors to maintain consistent quality output and address concerns in real-time.
  • Perform spot checks on equipment and tools used in production to verify they meet quality specifications.
  • Facilitate daily floor meetings with production teams to discuss quality metrics, challenges, and solutions.
  • Act as a visible presence on the production floor, serving as the go-to resource for resolving urgent quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols by conducting on-the-floor audits and evaluations.
  • Be onsite daily at our Attleboro, MA location

The Successful Applicant

The Ideal Quality Manager (Plastics / Thermoforming) - will:

  • Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong hands-on approach, comfortable working on the floor inspecting products and troubleshooting quality issues in real-time.
  • Skilled at retraining production staff and Utility Technicians to ensure adherence to quality processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a quality-driven culture, ensuring accountability across all departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on driving process improvements and implementing corrective actions quickly.
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work seamlessly with the Production Manager and Director of Manufacturing to resolve quality concerns.
  • Ability to lead root cause analysis and manage quality documentation, including reports and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience conducting on-the-floor audits and ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to relay quality metrics and improvement strategies to production teams.
  • Experience in industries requiring high-reliability standards is a plus.
  • Experience and comfortability with daily floor management, creation of training program and the ability to implement floor level process
  • Local to Attleboro, MA or open to relocate! (relocation package provided)
