My client is a global manufacturer that specializes in manufacturing and distributing specialty chemicals and related products for various industries. They produce a wide range of products designed to meet the specific needs of different applications such as automotive, industrial, marine, and aerospace.

Job Description

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system (QMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant quality management standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949.
  • Conducting internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing documentation control processes, including document creation, review, approval, distribution, and retention.
  • Providing guidance and support to departments and teams to ensure compliance with quality procedures and standards.
  • Leading or participating in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes to address non-conformances and improve quality performance.
  • Facilitating training and education programs on quality management principles, procedures, and best practices for employees.
  • Serving as a liaison with regulatory agencies, customers, and suppliers on matters related to quality systems and standards.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of the QMS and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

  • BS degree in engineering or technical field
  • Strong knowledge of Quality System Regulations including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF16949
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Willing to travel domestically up to 25%
  • Working knowledge of PPAP processes
