Job Description

Key responsibilities of a Quality Manager include:

  • Developing and implementing quality management systems (QMS): Ensuring adherence to standards like ISO 9001.
  • Conducting audits and inspections: Evaluating processes and products for compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives: Driving projects to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
  • Managing quality control processes: Overseeing testing, inspection, and data analysis to ensure product integrity.
  • Providing training and guidance: Educating employees on quality standards and procedures.
  • Managing documentation and records: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date quality-related information.
  • Addressing customer complaints and non-conformances: Investigating issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Quality Manager candidate will possess:

  • Proven Manufacturing Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
  • ISO 9001 Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with ISO 9001 standards, including implementation, auditing, and maintenance of a QMS.
  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: The ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams, communicate quality objectives, and train personnel at all levels.
  • Project Management Proficiency: Experience in managing and leading continuous improvement projects, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and measurable results.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: A strong aptitude for analyzing quality data, identifying root causes of defects, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
