Job Description

Quality Supervisor:

  • Lead daily operations of the Quality Control Labs for plastics and textiles, including assigning work and setting priorities.
  • Manage and develop the QC team, promoting cross-training, team collaboration, and performance improvement.
  • Oversee compliance with ISO, IATF, customer, and internal standards across all lab activities.
  • Drive lab process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
  • Lead the internal audit program, including scheduling, mentoring auditors, conducting audits, and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Analyze and report on QC metrics, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to investigate failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and calibration programs, including transitioning to global tools and databases as needed.

The Successful Applicant

Quality Supervisor:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to handle conflict, build team cohesion, and provide clear direction.
  • Quality Control and auditing experience, including working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience, ideally in a regulated industry like automotive, medical, or military.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable working across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Experience with quality systems and tools, such as Microsoft Office, metrics reporting, and ERP platforms like Oracle.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with familiarity in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage documentation, audits, and compliance programs efficiently.
