Job Description

  • Maintain and lead the site's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and related certifications
  • Conduct scheduled compliance and surveillance audits, delivering clear recommendations for process improvements
  • Investigate process non‑conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement
  • Manage supplier non‑conforming materials, including disposition decisions and collaboration with receiving and in‑process inspection teams
  • Define and document acceptance criteria and process controls for manufacturing operations, using data such as First Pass Yield to guide improvements
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to support and recommend engineering changes where needed
  • Participate in new process implementations, including validation activities to ensure quality and compliance
  • Provide technical quality guidance across teams including engineering, design, technicians, and inspectors

The Successful Applicant

A successful Quality Systems Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering is preferred, but relevant experience can account
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to analyze, develop, and refine quality processes based on customer requirements and corporate direction
  • Skilled in reviewing and evaluating processes to identify problems, propose alternatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis and FMEA methodologies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, including auditing, process mapping, and supplier controls
  • Ability to learn and work within business computer systems, including ERP platforms
