Job Description

  • Oversee all aspects of the organization's quality management and improvement efforts, including program development, training, monitoring adherence, and facilitating change.
  • Act as the Management Representative for all Quality Management Systems and ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulations.
  • Report to top management on Quality Management Systems performance and improvement needs.
  • Promote awareness of Quality Management Systems and customer requirements throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate with external assessment bodies and host Quality Management System Management Review meetings.
  • Develop, lead, and track internal audit programs, including product and process audits.
  • Manage Corrective/Preventive Actions process, supplier qualification, and customer PPAP submissions.
  • Establish strategic plans, policies, and procedures to meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs, incorporating Six Sigma and Lean methodologies for process improvement.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Quality Systems Manager for this specific client possesses a strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and process improvement methodologies. They demonstrate exceptional leadership skills in implementing and maintaining quality standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Additional qualifications they're looking for:

* BS/BA in Chemistry or Engineering is desired, advanced degree preferred.
* Industry Certifications is preferred.
* 5+ years of experience with process, project and plant engineering areas for specialty chemicals design and manufacturing.
* Proven leadership experience and skills.
* Sound problem solving and decision-making capabilities, with strong customer focus and attention to detail.
* Proficiency with process simulation software and data analysis software is desired.
* Expert understanding of IATF16949 and implementation into a manufacturing environment preferred.
* Certified Lead IATF 16949 auditor is preferred. * Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100D, and ISO 13485
* Ability to analyze multiple complex quality projects and problems while working independently.
* Solid working knowledge of PPAP processes.
* Knowledge of standard quality practices, ex. FMEA's, APQP, SPC, DOE, etc.
* Ability to mentor and train the team on effective problem-solving methods. * Able to travel to support manufacturing sites.
