Job Description

  • Monitor operational processes across departments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Assist with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) testing to evaluate the effectiveness of controls.
  • Collaborate on Compliance Control Testing and Strategic Risk/Reputation Risk Control Testing initiatives.
  • Coordinate with departmental teams to conduct risk self-assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and monitor controls to minimize risk exposure.
  • Respond to inquiries from Independent risk management and third line of defense regarding risk controls.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting risk issues and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Support special projects and tasks assigned to the department.
  • Assist in updating and revising procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in compliance or related field
  • Adequate knowledge of BSA, AML, US Patriot Act, OFAC, CIP Regulations, and consumer compliance
  • General understanding of bank deposit operations and related commercial banking functions
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Effective interaction with management, legal counsel, law enforcement, regulators, and examiners while maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and investigative abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
