They focus on enhancing the higer education living experience through purpose-built housing, strong university partnerships, and a commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and operational excellence.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & ModelingDevelop and maintain complex financial models for acquisitions, developments, and dispositions.Perform DCF, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analyses to support investment decisions.Leverage advanced Excel modeling techniques to drive efficiency and accuracy.Market Research & Due DiligenceConduct thorough market and submarket research to analyze trends, supply/demand factors, and competitive dynamics.Collect and interpret data on asset performance, rent trends, cap rates, and expenses.Assist in the due diligence process for potential transactions, ensuring data accuracy and risk identification.Investment Evaluation & UnderwritingSupport the evaluation of new investment opportunities across acquisition, development, and disposition strategies.Prepare underwriting reports and investment summaries to assess financial viability.Contribute to investment committee presentations and high-level executive materials.Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementWork cross-functionally with internal teams including Asset Management, Property Operations, Acquisitions, and Development to align strategies and share insights.Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as brokers, lenders, joint-venture partners, and consultants.Provide mentorship and support to junior team members in financial modeling and analytical best practices.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
