About Our Client

A rapidly growing real estate investment platform is seeking an intelligent, motivated, and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to support financial reporting across multiple public and private REITs. The organization manages a diversified portfolio of real estate assets across major property types and continues to experience strong platform growth.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role that will work closely with senior investment professionals, legal, tax, and external audit teams, while gaining broad exposure to real estate operations, reporting, and investments.

Job Description

  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A for SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other filings
  • Build and enhance accounting and reporting processes for new investment vehicles, including internal control design and implementation
  • Manage cash and oversee day-to-day accounting operations for public and private REITs
  • Calculate and monitor underlying asset and portfolio performance
  • Lead annual audits and quarterly reviews; prepare audit schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare supplemental reporting and investor presentation materials for senior leadership and the board
  • Assist with valuation analysis, due diligence on new investments, and other special projects
  • Provide accounting and reporting support across multiple real estate strategies and funds

The Successful Applicant

  • 2+ years of audit experience at a major public accounting firm; real estate or REIT experience strongly preferred
  • BBA/BS in Accounting required (from a highly regarded program preferred)
  • CPA license or completion of all four CPA exams strongly preferred
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong sense of urgency and ownership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
