Job Description

  • Provide reconciliation services for the Trust Middle Office, including reviewing exceptions reported by sub-custodian, and reconciling internal cash accounts. Act as an escalation point for reconciliation related issues and exceptions.
  • Review daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sub-custodian management reports including status of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indices (KPIs).
  • Monitor and track audit requests from internal and external auditors. Request information as necessary from other Bank departments, Trust Middle Office personnel, and from sub-custodian.
  • Review the daily trade blotter related to the daily net settlement.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts utilized by Trust Middle Office.
  • Review and respond to reconciliation reports, especially the daily cash and securities reconciliation, and assist in clearing any differences.
  • Review the daily reporting of the settlement blotter of funds to be wired or received for the daily net settlement.
  • Provide general support to the Trust Reconciliation and Control Manager as needed.
  • Ability to provide reasonable coverage and backup for teammates/colleagues including those on cross functional teams during planned and unplanned time off.
  • Perform other duties as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work related experience
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience in a Trust or asset management environment is preferred.
  • General knowledge of securities industry's policies and procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the accounting principles, reconcilement process and operational requirements relevant to equities fixed income, financial futures and options is preferred
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, Access) and computerized reconciliation methods.
