Job Description

As a Recruitment Consultant you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing client & business relationships in a competitive environment
  • Advising on and selling the most appropriate solution for attracting candidates and maintaining a candidate database
  • Assessing and responding to the needs of each particular client or assignment
  • Sourcing suitable candidates and briefing them on the opportunities offered by the client
  • Managing the full-cycle recruitment process of a candidate through interview to offer stage and beyond
  • Offering resume, interview and general career advice
  • Networking to build business information that can be converted into commercial opportunities
  • Knowing and understanding monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and setting stretch targets
  • Creating and reinforcing a positive, sales-based team culture

The Successful Applicant

Skills and experiences you must have to be a successful recruiter at Michael Page:

  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, recruitment or related field
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, candidates and internal team
  • Motivated by career growth, professional development, and financial goals
  • Ability to negotiate with clients, and persuade people
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to actively listen and consult with both candidates and prospective clients
  • Proven record of success (academics, sport, sales)
