The Regional Customer Demand Planning Manager is a newly created position with high visibility to senior leadership on the company's Center of Excellence team.Job DescriptionCustomer Demand & Shipment Management:Lead and manage the Regional Demand Planning Team to ensure accurate demand forecasting and effective shipment planning to meet customer requirements.Collaborate with the Regional Customer Desk Manager, Product Life Cycle Planner, and Customer Management teams to align on demand forecasts and ensure an accurate rolling forecast (current month + 3 months).Address demand variations or over-capacity issues by working with Supply Chain and Plant Operations teams to find solutions.Oversee and validate the weekly Customer Demand Forecast, ensuring alignment with business goals.Team Leadership & Development:Drive high performance within the Demand Planning Team by providing training, development, and support.Oversee the on-boarding process for new team members in collaboration with the Global Customer Demand Planning Manager.Monitor and ensure team adherence to deadlines, global demand planning standards, and supply chain processes.Conduct performance reviews and manage the development process (HPD, MRR) for team members.Forecasting & Demand Arbitration:Accountable for weekly demand arbitration, ensuring that forecast discrepancies are addressed promptly.Analyze demand versus sold capacity and demand variations, communicating any deviations to the Customer Management team and adjusting forecasts accordingly.Continuously improve forecast accuracy through ongoing analysis of MAPE and BIAS at the product number (PN) level.Customer Performance & Satisfaction:Lead the analysis of customer delivery performance, focusing on KPIs such as OTTR (On-Time, In-Full), Past Due, CDI (Customer Delivery Index), and NPS (Net Promoter Score).Develop and execute action plans to improve customer satisfaction and ensure timely delivery of products.Monitor and report on customer delivery performance, taking proactive steps to address any delivery issues or discrepancies.Process Improvement & Compliance:Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining demand planning operations and enhancing customer experience.Ensure compliance with global supply chain processes, customer-specific requirements, and industry standards (e.g., IATF16949, ISO9001).Collaborate with other departments to implement new tools and systems that support demand planning operations.Inventory & Demand Planning Optimization:Optimize Finished Goods Inventory (FGI) levels in alignment with SIOP processes.Address demand changes such as product phase-ins and phase-outs to avoid excess and obsolete inventory.Manage and optimize customer demand across various products to ensure that inventory levels are balanced with future demand.Reporting & Performance Monitoring:Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer demand, delivery performance, and inventory levels.Utilize SAP, MHS, and o9 tools to ensure that performance metrics are met and processes are followed.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Actively participate in weekly demand planning, SIOP, and other cross-functional meetings.Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Plant Warehouse teams to align on demand forecasts and shipment plans.Lead projects focused on improving demand forecasting, shipment execution, and overall customer satisfaction.Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E):Observe and enforce work rules and internal HS&E guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
