My client is at the forefront of sustainable and innovative chemical solutions selling across industrial markets like Automotive, Energy, Infrastructure and more. They have nearly doubled growth in the last few years with continued aggressive growth goals over the coming years. They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager / Business Development Manager for their Louisiana region - offering competitive pay and benefits.

Job Description


  1. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for expansion. Stay abreast of industry developments and competitive landscape.

  2. Business Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with overall company goals.

  3. Business Development: Sell directly to end users in the Oil&Gas market and develop relationships.
  4. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers. Leverage these relationships to enhance the company's position in the market.

  5. Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales initiatives by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and contribute to achieving revenue goals.

  6. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with potential clients, partners, and vendors. Ensure favorable terms and conditions that align with the company's objectives and standards.

  7. Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our products and their applications. Effectively communicate the value proposition to clients and partners.

  8. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and key performance indicators. Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and refine strategies accordingly.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
    • Background in Chemical Engineering a plus.
    • 5+ years of experience selling to end users and large oil & gas clients like - Exxon, Chevron, BP and more.
    • 10+ years of business development and sales experience.
    • Experience with a complex and value based sales solution.
    • Background in chemical based products a huge plus.
    • Strong understanding of the industries relevant to our products (e.g., energy, construction, manufacturing).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
    • Familiarity with contract negotiation and deal structuring.
