Job Description

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with C&I clients.
  • Identify and understand client needs, providing personalized financial solutions through commercial and industrial loans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.



Business Development:

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, including cross-selling bank products and services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Target potential clients in the commercial and industrial sectors and build a pipeline of business.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored financial solutions, focusing on credit, working capital, and trade finance.



Loan Origination and Structuring:

  • Manage the entire loan lifecycle from origination to closure, including structuring C&I loans, credit assessments, risk evaluation, and terms negotiation.
  • Ensure compliance with all credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines.



Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor and manage loan portfolio performance, ensuring portfolio health and minimizing risks associated with loan default.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of clients' financial conditions and adjust lending arrangements as required.



Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Treasury teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting business performance, market opportunities, and risks.

The Successful Applicant

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relationship management, credit origination, or business banking with a Chinese or Taiwanese commercial bank, preferably with a focus on C&I loans.
  • In-depth understanding of local market dynamics, C&I sectors, and banking products specific to commercial and industrial financing.



Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. An MBA or other professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.



Skills:

  • Strong understanding of commercial banking products, especially C&I loan structures, credit assessment, and risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly desirable for communication with local clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.



Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with banking software, credit risk models, and loan origination platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
