Job Description

The Renewable Energy - Snr. Manager, Portfolio Finance - San Diego will report to the CFO. This recently created role will lead valuation and risk analysis, including development and oversight of detailed financial models, for new and existing projects.

Main duties and responsibilities will include the following:

    • Identify, structure and execute financial optimization opportunities across the entire company. Efforts will be primarily focused on renewables projects, with possibility of non-renewables related transactions.
    • Manage tax equity and third-party cash equity relationships, working closely with executives and committee voting members on portfolio matters.
    • Collaborate with the broader Capital Markets team to establish and cultivate relationships with existing capital providers to broker resolutions, drive amendment / consent processes, and achieve on time fundings of transactions.
    • Establish and sustain productive, efficient relationships across major departments and functions including development, construction, origination and legal to address and resolve challenges across the lifecycle of the projects.
    • Oversee process with the existing tax equity portfolio to ensure that the company is complying with its reporting obligations, maintaining reliable tracking models to monitor contribution and distribution activity.
    • Provide oversight, guidance, training and mentorship to the analysts on the Portfolio Finance team.

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelors degree
  • MBA
  • 8+ years of relevant project finance and/or evaluation experience analysing, structuring, pricing, and
    managing portfolio and project level investment decisions and processes.
  • Financial modelling skills coupled with good conceptual, strategic, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Chicago/Illinois based. or willing to relocate.
