Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsGreat BenefitsOpportunity to grow quickly within companyAbout Our ClientMy client is a fast growing company within the food manufacturing industry.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of the Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) Manager areRegulatory Compliance:Stay current with and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to food manufacturing.Interface with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors as needed.Safety Programs:Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries.Conduct regular safety training for employees and management.Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.Environmental Management:Implement and manage environmental programs to minimize the environmental impact of operations.Monitor and report on key environmental performance indicators.Develop strategies to reduce waste, energy consumption, and water usage.Risk Assessment:Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend measures to control and reduce risks.Work with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into all aspects of operations, including new projects and processes.Emergency Preparedness:Develop and maintain emergency response plans.Conduct drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies.Safety Culture:Promote a strong safety culture by fostering awareness, communication, and accountability.Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives.Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records related to safety incidents, environmental performance, and compliance.Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
