They are committed to maintaining high safety standards and providing excellent service to their clients.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to join our growing team supporting large-scale data center construction projects in the Chicago area. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our zero-incident culture, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety standards, and fostering a proactive safety mindset across all project teams and trade partners.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and enforce the company's environmental health and safety (EHS) programs on complex data center construction sites.Conduct daily site walks and safety inspections, ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations, project-specific safety plans, and company policies.Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.Develop and deliver training programs for field personnel and subcontractors, including but not limited to:Fall protectionExcavation and confined space entryElectrical safety and lockout/tagoutScaffolding and aerial lift operationCrane and rigging safetyOSHA 10-hour and 30-hour coursesParticipate in job hazard analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning to identify and mitigate potential risks.Collaborate closely with project management, field supervision, and trade partners to integrate safety into all phases of construction activities.Maintain accurate and detailed safety documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and corrective action logs.Lead and contribute to weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project safety audits.Support implementation of emerging data center safety technologies and best practices, ensuring alignment with client safety expectations.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
