Safety Professional

We are seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to join our growing team supporting large-scale data center construction projects in the Chicago area. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our zero-incident culture, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety standards, and fostering a proactive safety mindset across all project teams and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enforce the company's environmental health and safety (EHS) programs on complex data center construction sites.
• Conduct daily site walks and safety inspections, ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations, project-specific safety plans, and company policies.
• Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and deliver training programs for field personnel and subcontractors, including but not limited to:
  • Fall protection
  • Excavation and confined space entry
  • Electrical safety and lockout/tagout
  • Scaffolding and aerial lift operation
  • Crane and rigging safety
  • OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour courses
• Participate in job hazard analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate closely with project management, field supervision, and trade partners to integrate safety into all phases of construction activities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed safety documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and corrective action logs.
• Lead and contribute to weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project safety audits.
• Support implementation of emerging data center safety technologies and best practices, ensuring alignment with client safety expectations.
