We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Description

  1. Sales Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize their performance.
    • Set clear sales targets, monitor individual and team progress, and take corrective actions when necessary.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
  2. Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mining industry, leveraging your existing network and conducting market research.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand our customer base and meet revenue goals.
    • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals with key decision-makers in target organizations.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Actively engage with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and offer tailored equipment solutions.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations, promptly addressing issues to maintain high levels of customer service.
  4. Market Analysis and Reporting:

    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics related to mining equipment sales.
    • Analyze sales data, generate regular reports, and present findings to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending strategies for improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in sales, specifically selling equipment into the mining industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully managing and motivating sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive new business growth, meet or exceed sales targets, and close deals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics within the mining industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients and attend industry events.
