We are looking for a Scrum Master/Project Manager to join our client's expanding team in Iselin, NJ. This role will involve overseeing the management of scrum teams for their large-scale cloud-based data warehouse.

Job Description

  • Lead key Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and burn-down tracking.
  • Maintain and manage the RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) log for the teams under your guidance.
  • Collaborate with the project team to communicate regular status updates and reports.
  • Balance PMO-driven milestones with Scrum activities by assessing team velocity and resolving blockers and conflicts.
  • Provide environmental support and management for projects as needed.
  • Coach and mentor teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Protect the team from external distractions and interruptions to ensure focus and productivity.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7 to 12 years of relevant experience required, with a strong financial background, preferably in Derivatives, Cash, Finance, and Banking products.
  • Technical expertise, ideally with knowledge of Snowflake, Python, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Proficient in using Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) for project and team management.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum.
  • Familiar with standard software development practices and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, assess priorities, and make timely decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation abilities to effectively communicate ideas and updates.
