Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting activities of the company, including general ledger entries, accounting and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Analyze prepayment and accruals to ensure accuracy.
  • Fixed asset accounting, roll forward and reconciliations.
  • Experience with accounting treatment of leases.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Review and approve financial transactions and ensure proper coding and documentation.
  • Work with external auditors during annual audit process.
  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to management to support strategic business decisions.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior managemen

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality and services industry or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP or IFRS.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems; proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication an interpersonal skill, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
