This organization has over a decade entities under their umbrella and are now looking to bring a Senior Accountant to their team!Job DescriptionSupports daily, monthly, and year-end operations, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements.Assists with the recording and reconciliation of revenue and accounts receivable.Helps in the creation, maintenance, and reconciliation of bank accounts.Manages the recording and processing of intercompany expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, depreciation of fixed assets, and any necessary adjusting or reclassification journal entries.Reviews company financial records to ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring invoices and staff reimbursements are paid correctly in accordance with Finance policies and procedures.Monitors general ledger (G/L) activity to confirm that all transactions are accurately recorded and reflected in the G/L.Prepares and analyzes financial statement workpapers to verify the accuracy of the period's financial records.Assists in the timely submission and payment of State and Local tax obligations and supports the preparation of annual tax filings.Contributes to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget-to-actual variance analyses.Aids in the preparation of annual tax documentation.Provides leadership and guidance to department staff, assisting with training and helping to retain skilled accounting professionals.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
