Description

Job Responsibilities

  • All aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Monthly Reconciliation of all Balance Sheets
  • Responsible for fixed asset reporting: Adding, closing, disposing of assets. Running monthly depreciation entries.
  • Supporting plant controllers on various month end requirements
  • Preparing US/CAD monthly bank reconciliations and partnering with accounts payable to resolve any bank differences
  • Preparing monthly recurring journal entries, business re-charges, loan interest and any additional accrual journal entries in JDE
  • Responsible for prior and intra bank reporting for ACH rejections and automatic debits to ensure vouchers are processed into JDE timely
  • Preparing all monthly GL account reconciliations (A/P, A/R, GRNI, LINR and TINR)



· Filing monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales & use tax for US and Canada.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting. ; if someone ha 10+ years experience and they have an associates they will look at that.
  • 3 years or more of general accounting experience including monthly closings. Exposure to cost and/or plant accounting a plus
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Determine priorities and follow up in a timely fashion
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills
  • Computer literate - Must have knowledge of ERP Systems (JD Edwards or Oracle a plus), HFM or Hyperion, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • Self starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Team player with skills to adapt in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Other Ad-hoc activities
