About Our Client

I'm partnered with a high growth, publicly held distributor of world-class products looking to bring on a Senior Staff Accountant to their team! They operate in a wide-variety of industries, but have their largest footprint in the Manufacturing and Distribution spaces. With a large presence in North America, this growing company has over 150 facilities in total, over 5000 employees, and has over 20 companies in their portfolio! They have tripled their revenue and size in the last 3 years due to organic growth and acquisition.

Job Description

  • Record and reconcile complex financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Assist in coordinating and participating in internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Implement best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other departments.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff accountants.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, Relevant Industry
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Vlookup, Pivot Table, Advanced Formulas
