My client is a transportation, logistics, and supply chain company. They are a global firm with 11 strong years of market presence. They specialize in e-commerce and traditional freight, handling about 15,000 tons of airfreight per month.

Job Description

Accounting processing and recording

  • Accurately and timely enter various financial transactions of the company, including revenue, expenditure, asset acquisition, depreciation, etc., into the general ledger system to ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting information.
  • Be responsible for preparing and auditing accounting vouchers, classifying and recording each transaction in detail for subsequent financial analysis and reporting.
  • Regularly check and clear general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy of accounts, and promptly discover and resolve accounting discrepancies and abnormal situations.



Financial statement preparation and analysis

  • Prepare financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the company's internal financial system, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, etc.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, interpret the changing trends of various financial indicators, and provide accurate and clear financial analysis reports for management to help them make correct decisions.
  • Assist the company's internal and external auditors in audit work, provide necessary financial information and explanations, and ensure the smooth progress of audit work.



Budget management and control

  • Participate in the preparation of the company's annual budget, assist various departments in setting budget targets, and decompose them into various business units and projects.
  • Regularly monitor and analyze budget implementation, promptly discover budget deviations, and propose corresponding adjustment suggestions and measures to ensure the realization of the company's financial goals.
  • Assist management in cost control and expense management, classify and analyze various expenses, find potential and opportunities for cost savings, and improve the company's economic benefits.



Tax declaration and compliance

  • Be responsible for the company's tax declaration work, including the declaration and payment of various taxes such as federal tax, state tax, and local tax, to ensure the company's tax compliance.
  • Keep abreast of changes in US tax policies and regulations in a timely manner, adjust and optimize the company's tax strategy, reduce the company's tax risk and tax burden.
  • Assist in tax audit work, provide relevant tax information and explanations, and ensure that the company's tax declaration and payment meet the requirements of tax authorities.



Internal control and risk management

  • Establish and improve the company's internal control system to ensure the compliance and safety of financial activities and prevent financial risks and fraud.
  • Regularly evaluate and optimize the company's financial processes, improve the efficiency and quality of financial work, and reduce financial loopholes and risks.
  • Participate in the company's risk management work, identify, assess, and respond to financial risks to provide guarantee for the company's stable development.

The Successful Applicant

Educational background

  • Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, finance or other related majors.



Work experience

  • Have more than 5 years of accounting work experience.
  • Candidates with work experience in freight forwarder or international logistic Familiar with Cargowise is an overwhelming plus.



Skill requirements

  • Proficient in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation methods and have strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Have good English levels and be able to effectively communicate.



Quality requirements

  • Have good communication skills, teamwork skills, and learning ability, and be able to quickly adapt to new work environments and business requirements.
  • Have strong logical thinking ability and problem-solving ability and be able to independently handle complex financial problems and affairs.
