Job Description



  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports


  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations


  • Manage general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP


  • Oversee inventory accounting and reconcile cost of goods sold (COGS)


  • Analyze sales, margin, and expense variances across retail channels (in-store, inventory, e-commerce)


  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with merchandising and operations teams


  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies


  • Partner with external auditors during year-end audits and assist with tax compliance


  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function


  • Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on best practices

The Successful Applicant



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred


  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in retail or consumer goods


  • Strong understanding of retail accounting principles, inventory systems, and cost accounting


  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel


  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across teams
