Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting monthly and year-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.

Job Description

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of all accounting transactions.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS (if applicable), and company policies.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Assist with tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
