Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsAbility to gain exceptional experience through exposure.Great career growth opportunitiesAbout Our ClientLeading privately held investment firm based in Dallas, TX, with an extensive portfolio of diversified real estate assets and alternative investments.Job DescriptionThis role involves supporting the investment team in evaluating, analyzing, and managing potential real estate investments.Deal Structuring: Underwrite new investment opportunities by assessing the financials, operational history, and projected future performance of the target property or portfolio.Risk Assessment: Analyze and assess the risks of potential deals by looking at market trends, location analysis, tenant performance, and other critical factors.Investment Memo Preparation: Prepare detailed investment memos that summarize the findings of underwriting and provide recommendations to senior management or investors.Coordinate Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing third-party reports such as appraisals, environmental studies, and legal documents.Develop Financial Models: Create, update, and maintain complex financial models to assess potential investments, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, internal rate of return (IRR), net present value (NPV), and other financial metrics.Scenario Analysis: Run sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to assess the risks and returns under different assumptions (e.g., changes in interest rates, cap rates, market conditions).Valuation of Assets: Conduct detailed property valuations, using comparable sales, income capitalization, and other valuation techniques.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful Applicant3-5 Years of Experience: Strong candidates will typically have 3-5 years of experience in real estate investment, financial analysis, or hospitality investment.Experience in Real Estate Finance: A deep understanding of real estate financials, such as cash flow modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, IRR, NPV), and property-level analytics.Exposure to Hospitality or Commercial Real Estate: Experience in the specific real estate segment (e.g., hospitality, commercial, multifamily) the firm specializes in is often preferred.Experience in Underwriting: Hands-on experience underwriting commercial or hospitality real estate investments, particularly in assessing risk, deal structure, and financial projections.Alignment with Firm's Values: The successful candidate should align with the culture of the company and its investment philosophy.
