The role also includes ownership responsibilities for internal risk models and contributes to management and regulatory reporting.

Job Description

  • Perform liquidity risk analysis to evaluate risk and benefits associated with settlement participation expansion and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct daily and periodic stress testing to assess potential member payment failures and support enhanced settlement monitoring in line with regulatory expectations.
  • Analyze the impact of market, financial, and geopolitical events on settlement services and liquidity risk exposure.
  • Support continuous improvement of liquidity and market risk processes, including automation and efficiency enhancements to reduce operational risk.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of internally owned risk models and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with model risk management standards.
  • Develop and implement benchmarking models as part of model performance monitoring requirements.
  • Prepare detailed risk reporting for internal management, governance committees, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Contribute to risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) processes and broader risk governance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support risk initiatives and information requests.

The Successful Applicant

  • Three or more years of experience in banking, consulting, or financial services.
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience applying risk methodologies and financial analytics.
  • High attention to detail with a disciplined approach to reviewing and validating work output.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
  • Advanced technical skills, including SQL, Python, R, and Excel/VBA.
  • Experience working with large datasets, including data interpretation, cleansing, manipulation, and analysis.
