The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.Job DescriptionStrategic Sourcing:Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure raw materials, components, and services at optimal cost, quality, and delivery standards.Identify and qualify new suppliers to diversify the supply chain and mitigate risks.Vendor Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and service agreements.Procurement Operations:Process purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for compliance and auditing purposes.Cost Management:Conduct market research and cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with finance and production teams to optimize budget utilization and inventory levels.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams to align procurement strategies with operational goals.Participate in new product development by sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers.Continuous Improvement:Lead initiatives to streamline procurement processes and enhance supply chain efficiency.Stay updated on market trends, material innovations, and regulatory changes affecting the industry.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
