Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsGlobally operating companyOpportunities for career growthAbout Our ClientLeading Industrial Manufacturing Company.Job DescriptionServe as the primary environmental contact for air quality, stormwater, wastewater and solid waste.Coordinate permitting processes with operations, project management, consultants, and regulatory agencies.Effectively communicate and enforce regulatory requirements and permit conditions.Prepare, review, and submit both external and internal reports as required.Monitor and inspect construction contractors to ensure compliance with environmental management plans.Develop and secure variances or alternative operating conditions to prevent enforcement actions.Investigate environmental incidents using causal learning and root cause analysis to implement corrective measures.Lead or participate in ongoing engineering development to ensure compliance with environmental requirements and permits.Report deviations or exceedances to relevant regulatory agencies as stipulated by permits or other requirements. - Assess and address federal, state, and local environmental compliance issues. - Oversee air emission stack testing with support from the environmental team. - Provide data and information to the environmental team for external communications. - Coordinate with procurement and OEMs to acquire optimal pollution control equipment for site.Develop and implement an environmental handbook for plant operators and provide necessary training to operators and staff.Follow up on environmental audits of any origin, carried out by internal and external entities, clients, environmental authorities and represent the company before the relevant organizations.Technically support the evaluation and monitoring process of suppliers and contractors of environmental monitoring and consulting services. Prepare internal procedures and guides related to the management, handling and final disposal of hazardous waste.
