Job Description

Reporting to FP&A Manager, the incumbent is responsible for a global business unit financial consolidation. Responsible for P&L consolidation, expense management including being a key participant in the monthly forecast and close process, preparing management reporting, performing variance analysis, and partnering with other members of the finance team. Provides real-time support and analysis, and ensures all deadlines are met. Supports AOP/Forecasts/Latest Outlook/Strategic Plan and adds value that will assist in decision making. Key responsibilities include:

  • Consolidate annual operating budgets, quarterly forecast, and long-range strategic financial plan for Business Unit.
  • Consolidate various financial templates submitted by regions into a global business view.
  • Build and load financial Forecasts, Annual Operating Plan, and Strategic Plan for Functions including expense modeling.
  • Support monthly flash process and perform variance analysis to capture and communicate key drivers of variances for the business.
  • Collect accrual information from Functional teams.
  • Book Journal Entries during monthly close including both reclasses and accrual entries.
  • Perform variance analysis on Actual results versus Forecast, Annual Operating Plan, and Prior Year as needed
  • Bridge expenses to show major changes when comparing to prior year as well as other views
  • Update Business Review templates for respective business review meetings.
  • Complete other Corporate requests for quarterly reporting (Capital Expenditures, Restructuring & Turnaround, Foreign Exchange, etc.)
  • Clearly and succinctly communicate results, major drivers and risks, and opportunities to other members of the finance team
  • Support ad hoc projects or business requests.

The Successful Applicant

The Senior Finance Analyst - Medical Device - Hybrid should have the following skill sets and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Field
  • 5+ years of FP&A or Cost Analysis experience
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP needed
