The role is an important leadership opportunity within the business and ties together the Accounting, Finance, Operations, Research and Commercial teams. The role is a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days working on site and 2 from home, although you can still work the full work week on site if you would like to.Job DescriptionResponsible for the entire Business Unit's P&L, ensuring alignment with performance goals.Take ownership of site financials, driving FP&A improvements and enhancing operational processes.Provide analytical support for evaluating new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.Guide the creation of operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and internal financial reports.Manage and refine budgeting procedures, improve expense management, and ensure operational cost efficiency.Lead the team in executing daily activities while maintaining adherence to compliance standards.Oversee all aspects of team management, including hiring, training, performance reviews, mentoring, coaching, and setting goals tied to business priorities and key performance indicators.Foster employee engagement and develop the skills and talent required to meet operational goals.Assist in month-end accounting close activities and prepare comprehensive financial reports.Establish key operational metrics, driving improvements in processes and profitability.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
