My client is is an international AmLaw 100 law firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. With more than 900 lawyers across 17 offices, they provides advisory, litigation, and transactional legal services to clients worldwide.

Job Description

  • Serve as the primary finance contact for the Corporate and Real Estate legal groups and associated support staff
  • Provide monthly analysis of financial performance results at the department, office and total firm level of detail
  • Assist in the preparation of integration revenue and cost analyses, projections, reports and presentations for legal department management
  • Assist the practice development, marketing and proposals team with scenario based financial analysis on competitive bid proposals
  • Investigate and resolves inquires related to financial matters from various groups including attorneys and support staff
  • Support the implementation of a new accounting system and ongoing financial reporting system maintenance as needed
  • Assist with compiling financial information in response to periodic industry and government surveys in which the firm participates
  • Collaborate with the office of inclusion and diversity to assist in responding to industry and client-specific diversity requests
  • Ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of five years of relevant financial analysis experience, professional services or law firm experience preferred
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to use discretion when communicating financial information based on the target audience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) required
