About Our Client

Our client is seeking to grow its Finance team with a Senior Financial Analyst to focus on FP&A and who will be an integral part of managing the finance and operations of the Firm. This position will report to the VP of Finance and have significant exposure across the Company.

Job Description

  • Oversee the analytical and commercial-facing arm of the finance team, including commercial-related accounting and reconciliation.
  • Partner with the business to develop and communicate financial scenarios, business cases, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for managing financial drivers and performance.
  • Support commercial leads and functional teams in financial planning and budgetary management, including long-range planning, budgeting, and forecast development.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and procedures for critical and confidential accounting and compliance topics.
  • Advise stakeholders on financial matters related to organizational operations and policies to meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Drive improvements in commercial and sales planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic pricing.
  • Analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information to assess profitability and performance against budget.
  • Identify areas for improved efficiencies and update accounting processes and procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily and monthly reporting, month-end and year-end close, and review of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for financial processes, including standardization, centralization, automation, and implementation of new tools.
  • Maintain best-in-class closing and financial reporting processes.
  • Provide controllership support for the implementation of new products and promotions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in business or analytical area
  • 3-5 plus years' finance experience in retail, e-commerce, CPG, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel spreadsheet applications)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
