Job Description

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Clearly communicate the company's value proposition and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Track and analyze sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and stay up-to-date.
  • Coach and mentor junior sales staff to develop their skills.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-4 years of active sales experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry, preferably within the tri-state area.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, and a strong understanding of sales methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively present information and negotiate contracts.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a complex sales pipeline.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments such as operations and customer service.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales software to manage leads, contacts, and opportunities.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
