Job Description


  • Review month end closings and monthly financial packages for multiple investments
  • Review journal entries to general ledger
  • Review and prepare GAAP and IFRS financial statements
  • Review billing statements and invoices
  • Collaborate with different departments to analyze financial reporting issues and technical accounting
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations
  • Review the recording of origination, purchases, and sales of investments
  • Work with external CPA firms to provide information required for audits and other engagements
  • Respond to various requests from investors and external sponsors
  • Assist in the documentation, updating, and creation of accounting/finance SOPs
  • Additional responsibilities as needed for the team

The Successful Applicant


  • BS degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 3-5 years in public accounting with extensive experience preparing financial statements and fixing any technical accounting issues
  • Previous experience with MRI, Yardi, or equivalent accounting software
  • STRONG Excel skills, Outlook, Microsoft Word
  • Attention to detail and analytic skills
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and ability to research accounting with previous experience dealing with complex real estate transitions
  • Self motivated and able to work both independently and collaborate with teams
