About Our Client
Our client is a strategic manufacturing partner serving multiple industries including automotive, aerospace, and medical device. They seek a manufacturing engineer to analyze the value stream and identify opportunities to eliminate non-value added steps in the process.
Job Description
Identify and investigate issues in manufacturing, and support improvement initiatives to resolve them
Develop welding skills of operators and assist in certification of employees
Use SolidWorks to create models and drawings as needed
Review part drawings and customer correspondence to determine the requirements for a part and assist in developing a manufacturing process for the most cost-effective manufacturing methods
Recommend and develop preventative maintenance procedures for all polishing and welding equipment including robotic systems
Design tools, jigs, and fixtures to form, fabricate and machine sheet metal parts

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- 1-5 years experience in manufacturing engineering
- Solidworks experience for tooling and fixture design
- Project management experience
- Lean experience
- Comfortable multi-tasking
- Excellent communication
