Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Helping team achieve record Throughput and Cases per Labor Hour outputs
  • Reduces bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the manufacturing line with maintenance team and operations team
  • Reviews production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacement.
  • Project manages capital purchases and installs new equipment and ensures that it operates correctly; trains others to operate new machinery.
  • Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.
  • Troubleshoots new and existing automated equipment
  • Interfaces with vendors on procuring materials, services, and equipment.
  • Develops SOP's, methods, tooling, and production controls for new and existing programs.
  • Provides technical assistance to the plant including materials, engineering, and safety.
  • Uses Root cause problem solving controls and defines preventive activities.
  • Develops and implements improvements to existing manufacturing processes.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors

The Successful Applicant

Successful Candidate....

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Sustainability Etc
  • 5-10 Years of Exp within Engineering
  • Located in San Diego CA or nerby
  • Able to assist in production maintenance and safety areas
  • Knowledge of food and beverage manufacturing facility preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to improve up time or deficiencies
  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques desired
  • Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
  • Familiarity with current manufacturing standards and OSHA regulations.
