My client is an innovative machinery manufacturer that specializes in manufacturing industrial thermal process equipment. The company is roughly 100 people large and has been around for over 85 years!

Job Description

In this role you will report directly to the Director of Engineering and have the opportunity to:

  • Designing and calculating ASME code-stamped pressure vessels
  • Designing and analyzing industrial rotating equipment
  • Selecting and verifying mechanical components, including seals, bearings, motors, and pumps
  • Generating and reviewing project documentation, including code calculations, design reports, stress and deflection analysis, tolerance analysis with GD&T requirements, technical specifications, CAD models and drawings for fabrication, machining, assembly, and customer reference, equipment and piping layouts, design and manufacturing strategies, and conceptual designs for prototypes
  • Designing lifting devices, fixtures, and tooling for large-scale manufacturing operations
  • Coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders (manufacturing, quality, etc.) to support project execution
  • Reviewing and verifying compliance with technical specifications for projects and components
  • Conducting finite element analyses (FEA) (structural and thermal) and presenting findings in reports or presentations tailored to diverse technical audiences
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, often in cross-functional teams
  • Generating and reviewing quality procedures and departmental operating guidelines
  • Overseeing and reviewing related work from mechanical designers and less experienced engineers

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent certifications/ technical degrees
  • 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience
  • Strong foundations in engineering fundamentals, especially in the area of heat transfer



Nice To Haves:

  • ASME Code 8 preferred
  • Pressure vessel experience
  • PE license or desire to obtain
