My client is a start-up Manufacturing company in Boston looking for a Senior Payroll Associate - Manufacturing to report into the Director of Payroll. This position can be fully remote. This is a newly created position in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The company is in growth mode and looking for the right candidate to help in their payroll department!
Job Description
The Senior Payroll Associate - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll, recording all changes as necessary to maintain accuracy
Preparing data for SOX Audits
Preparing and submitting 401K contributions to vendor
Managing payroll tax activities in a multi-state environment, including compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Processing employment verifications
Updating ADP with tax rate changes
Providing payroll/HRIS standard and ad hoc reports to stakeholders
Assist in the reconciliation of quarterly and year-end wage and tax statement, including W-2
Perform outreach to ADP to resolve issues, as necessary
Serve as a point of contact for all employee payroll-related questions/concerns.
Monitor and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees
Distribute payroll information to new hires
Work closely with Human Resources and Equity on compensation-related issues
Work with accounting group and assist with special projects
Provide payroll/HRIS standard and ad hoc reports to stakeholders

The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate for the Senior Payroll Associate - Manufacturing will have the following:
3-5+ years payroll-related experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
Experience with ADP WorkforceNow, ADP Enhanced Time and Workday
Experience working with multi-state payrolls
Must possess in-depth knowledge of payroll best practices.
Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Advanced skills in MS Excel
Effective communications skills, ability to interact with all levels of the company
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Biotech experience preferred
Public company experience preferred
