Job Description



  • Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution of payroll across multiple locations and systems.


  • Compliance & Regulations: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local labor laws and tax regulations to ensure compliance in all payroll-related activities. Ensure proper handling of tax filings, deductions, and benefits administration.


  • Payroll System Management: Maintain and update payroll systems, troubleshoot any system issues, and work with IT or vendors to resolve technical challenges. Ensure system configurations are in compliance with regulatory changes.


  • Employee Relations: Address payroll inquiries from employees, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of any payroll-related issues or discrepancies. Provide guidance on pay policies, deductions, and other payroll-related matters.


  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and submit detailed payroll reports, including tax filings, deductions, benefits reports, and any other reports required for compliance and internal audits.

The Successful Applicant

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)



Experience:

  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience through Workday.
  • Experience handling multi-state payroll.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of wage & hour laws, garnishment and tax related issues in the US and Canada.



Skills & Competencies:

  • Prior experience with Workday required.
  • Technologically adept with proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to details to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work autonomously, while managing multiple assignments within specified deadlines.
  • Client-centric individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
