Job Description

This Senior Plastics Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager - Plastics, and you will be responsible for:

  • Install, evaluate, and improve new and existing manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising product quality, implementing lean manufacturing principles and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of plastic components into overall product designs.
  • Participate on design/project review teams as the technical liaison to R&D.
  • Conduct quality control assessments to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in Manufacturing
  • Lean Six Sigma and Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of plastic materials, molding processes, and design principles
  • Proficient in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
