Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, the main duties and responsibilities of a Senior Mechanical Engineer will include:

  • Lead plumbing engineering team
  • Collaborate with the client and architect to ensure project specifications and client needs are being met
  • Design models based on specifications through programs such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Consistently communicate with the construction team to ensure they're operating on the most up-to-date model
  • Review designs created by other Mechanical Engineers on the team and assist with changes/modifications when necessary
  • Develop and train new engineers brought into the plumbing design team
  • Attend project update meetings with clients and team
  • Perform QA/QC role on projects completed
  • Review RFP documents, estimate, and write proposals

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineer capacity
  • PE License is preferred
  • Familiar running projects ranging from $20k - $5M
  • Analytically minded individual with the capabilities to lead a team of Mechanical Engineers
  • Knowledge of codes and standards
  • Great communication skills
  • Client and account management experience
  • Experience estimating and developing proposals
  • Organized individual who can keep track of multiple projects at once
