Job Description

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Partner with Practice Group Leaders to set and execute strategic plans aligned with firm objectives.
  • Oversee practice planning, including growth strategy, budgeting, business development initiatives, and lateral integration.
  • Drive special projects focused on innovation, operational excellence, and talent optimization.



Financial Management & Analysis

  • Monitor financial health of the practice group, including utilization, realization, revenue, and profitability metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on pricing, forecasting, client budgets, and financial modeling.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive margin growth and operational efficiencies.



Talent Management

  • Manage attorney and staff deployment, ensuring optimal productivity and balanced workloads.
  • Support attorney performance management and collaborate on training and development initiatives.
  • Lead onboarding, integration, and support for new hires and laterals within the practice.



Client & Matter Support

  • Support matter lifecycle management including resourcing, scoping, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with Business Development on client-facing materials, RFPs, and strategic client initiatives.
  • Implement tools and processes to enhance service delivery and matter management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, JD, or other advanced degree highly preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience in a law firm, with at least 3 years in a senior operational or strategic role.
  • Proven track record of managing financial performance, staffing, and large-scale projects.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership presence, and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with law firm systems such as Elite, Intapp, or equivalent is a plus.
