Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsVery friendly company ctulure with excellent benefits!Do you have experience designing processes and leading projects?About Our ClientMy client is a long‑established specialty chemical manufacturer that develops high‑performance additives used in coatings, lubricants, rubber, and other industrial applications worldwide.Job DescriptionThe Senior Process Design Engineer will:Design and specify process equipment and supporting components needed for new or modified chemical manufacturing systems.Collaborate with the Process Engineering Group to implement process improvements and capacity upgrades through the Engineering Change Notification system to enhance safety, environmental compliance, quality, and productivity.Support the Production team by training chemical operators on new and updated manufacturing systems.Develop and maintain process operating manuals and standard operating procedures consistent with Engineering Department requirements.Create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), material and energy balances, utility specifications, piping layouts, and control schemes for new or enhanced systems.Generate equipment layouts, sketches, instrumentation specifications, and utility piping routes for capital projects and system upgrades.Troubleshoot existing processes and introduce improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase capacity or energy savings.Evaluate processes for safety, operability, and regulatory compliance, recommending modifications where needed.Conduct and support Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and assist with corrective actions from PHAs and incident reports.Oversee procurement of specialized production equipment and support systems.Prepare cost estimates, develop project schedules, and provide regular updates on project progress.Support scale‑up efforts from R&D and pilot operations to full‑scale production.Serve as a contributing member of the Safety and Health Committee.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
