Job Description

  • Support the engineering design, development, and deployment of refining plants
  • Translate R&D concepts into simplified, reliable commercial systems with a focus on capital efficiency and operational performance
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend innovative, non‑traditional engineering approaches for process and cost breakthroughs
  • Analyze operational data for optimization and performance improvements
  • Collaborate closely with lab and demo teams to validate results and confirm system modifications or enhancements
  • Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, and integration of critical process components
  • Interface with EPCs, contractors, and integrators during project execution and commissioning
  • Provide troubleshooting and early‑stage operational support for deployed systems
  • Contribute to internal standards for engineering documentation, QA/QC, and design reviews
  • Offer technical input for simultaneous deployments, licensing models, and third‑party technology integration

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Process Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering; Master's preferred
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, including chemical plant design and equipment engineering
  • Proficiency in industry‑standard process‑modeling software
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to collaborate across engineering teams, vendors, and EPC partners
  • Strong background in hydrometallurgy, solvent extraction, electrowinning, or related chemical‑recovery processes
  • Experience designing modular or skid‑mounted process plants from pilot to commercial scale
  • Skilled in developing PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances, and equipment specifications
  • Familiarity with HAZOP, PSM, and chemical safety standards
  • Adaptability to a fast‑paced, high‑growth startup environment with shifting priorities
